ABOUT SUSAN PEIREZ

Susan Peirez has over 30 years of experience in theatre, film, and television. As a journalist-producer for Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking USC Shoah Foundation Institute created from his Academy Award-winning Schindler’s List, Susan worked tirelessly interviewing/producing eyewitness testimonies made accessible for research, education, and outreach for the betterment of humankind. She personally contributed to over 100 interviews, notably with Holocaust survivors Victor Borge, ADL Director Abe Foxman, and Nechama Tec, whose book Defiance became the feature film starring Daniel Craig. She ran the Foundation’s largest global film NY production office for three years. Theatrical producing includes working with theatre professionals and celebrities, such as Samuel L. Jackson, Fiona Shaw, F. Murray Abraham, and Harvey Fierstein, for Acoustiguide, the world’s leading audio tour company providing enhancement programming to major cultural organizations and museums across the globe. She was a benefit producer for NYC’s 24-7 Youth Theatre Company and spearheaded the Wildlife Conservation Society’s traveling educational theatre troupe traveling across the tri-state area. A talent producer for Sony Pictures’ television pilot season, Susan discovered Laverne Cox, as well as booking major influencers Billie Jean King, Joy Behar, Gail Sheehy, and Martha Stewart for PBS’ critically acclaimed Life Part 2, a talk series on baby boomers hosted by NY Times and USA Today columnist Robert Lipsyte. Susan has been a member of the Producers Guild of America since 2008.
